Camping Trip

I did not get anything accomplished this weekend because we were having a blast celebrating little Michael's second birthday with a camping trip at Hualapai Mountain near Kingman, Arizona.

We stayed in this cute little cabin with a family friend and four kids between our two families. Some friends from the Land Rover club in Las Vegas did "real" camping in tents in front of the cabin!

I had great plans for visiting the antique shops and second hand stores on Saturday but those plans were quashed as we were on a trail from 10:00 in the morning until nearly 6:00 in the evening.

Mike's new truck's battle wound! I'm not sure that he even wants to get it fixed!!!!

On the trail, we came across an old abandoned mansion!

We were almost back to the cabin and stopped to feed the animals.

Mike took me by the shops on Sunday but most were closed and the kids were starving for lunch. Oh well....guess we will have to make that trip again to do some thrifting.

We call little Michael "Bubbee" because that is what Annelise starting calling him when he was an infant. Poor little guy thinks his name is Bubbee no matter how many times I tell him his name is Michael. As luck would have it, there is a shop named after him:

  1. LOL- I can't believe you found a shop called Bubbee's! Loves it.
And why in the world is Mike letting that wild animal so close to Michael!? I would not even get that close and I'm an adult!
Yikes. Anyways, sorry you didn't get to hit the antique store, but it looks like you had fun.
