Heather's Sign

This morning, when I just left the house to go to work, my phone rang. It was my husband calling to let me know that his mom could not watch the kids because she was sick.

So...here I am, home with the kids all day. What better thing to do then to attempt to clean my house and craft.

Here's the step-by-step so Heather can copy and paste this to her blog and claim it as her own. ;)

I painted the wood with black craft paint and a black sponge brush. The paint was left over from my last sign and only cost $.50.

I cut the stencils on my cricut. It took me a couple times because I am retarded and could not remember the size I used on my other sign....I'm too lazy to go downstairs to look but not too lazy to make the stencils a few times.

I then laid out the stencils.

Then used a small amount of white craft paint (also from the last sign) with the foam brush. I used two sheets of paper to make the line in the middle.

After the letters dried, I used a foam brush with a small amount of black pain to "distress" the letters.

Heather, email me your address so I can mail you your sign!

  1. I approve of this post. Very easy to cut and paste! LOL
I'm excited for the sign to come, I'll text you the address. Also, I'll send Annelise's b-day gift down since you are no longer planning on coming down. So disappointed by the way.
Guess I'll have to drive down there one of these days, maybe when it cools a little bit. That way my tires don't melt on the searing highway.
